Entry Transfer Information

**We do not maintain a list of people looking to buy or sell entries.** However, please check this site for postings by people looking to sell or buy transfer slots.

To transfer a confirmed entry in the Santa Barbara Triathlon from one party to another, you must complete and send in a Transfer Request and it must be received by the Santa Barbara Triathlon office by August 10, 2012.

We will only honor the Transfer Request if ALL of the following conditions are met:

  1. We receive the forms with payment in our office by 5:00 pm on Friday August 10, 2012 . Late requests will be returned.
  2. The signature of the former owner is on the form.
  3. We are able to confirm the transfer with the former owner via telephone or email.
  4. If switching events, there is room in the new event.

We reserve the right to decline any transfers that we feel are not appropriate.

Transfer Cost

A Transfer Fee of $25 is charged for each entry transfer. In addition, check the table below to see the appropriate Event Change Adjustment (see graph below).

USAT Fees: If the former owner did not pay the USAT fee and you are NOT a USAT member you must include that fee as well. See current 1 day fees. If the former owner paid the USAT fee you do not need to include it.

Follow this proceedure:

  1. Print the Transfer Request.
  2. Print the new owner's appropriate PDF event application from our registration page:
  3. Fill out all fields on both forms.
  4. Calculate any fees that may be due, including the $25 Transfer Fee and if appropriate, the Event Change Adjustment and applicable USAT Fee.
  5. Mail in all forms appropriate and fees so they arrive in our office by August 10, 2012.
  6. Once received and posted, you can view our confirmed entry list to view your entry.

Optional purchases. If the prior owner chose to purchase any of the optional purchase items, those items will also be credited towards your entry. (Examples might include the tee shirt upgrade, photographs, etc.)

Beneficiary Contributions: No refund can be given for any beneficiary contributions that were paid. Any contributions raised by the former owner will remain in that individuals name.
