We are so excited to announce registration for the 2022 Santa Barbara Triathlon is OPEN. As our “post pandemic” worlds settle back to normal, the 2022 Santa Barbara triathlon will return to our 2-day format with our long course events on Saturday, August 27 and our short course events on Sunday, August 28.
A word about pricing. Prices for the event are set based on a projection of total athletes that will attend and our costs to produce the event. For 2022, we anticipate our production costs to continue to increase over 2021. We believe we have set fair pricing for the event based on our projections. Our 2022 pricing model does accommodate an “early bird” discount. Athletes registering in the first 30 days will receive a 20% reduction in your entry fees. We hope many of you will take advantage of this discount as it will not be offered later in the spring and summer.
We also strongly encourage all athletes to take advantage of the entry fee protection offered during registration. As we all learned in the last 2 years, anything can happen prior to race day, and you’ll want to insure your entry fee in the event you become ill or injured and are unable to participate in the event. The Santa Barbara Triathlon does not offer refunds or entry transfers.
